– The main role of the engineer will be to lead a team for design of algorithms for LabVIEW FPGA based applications using NI USRPs/FlexRIOs.

– The position requires advance knowledge of LabVIEW Development Environment and LabVIEW FPGA software tool-chains but the individual must have sharp problem-solving skills.

– Additionally, the engineer will be required to oversee design of Advance Digital Signal Processing (DSP) in MATLAB.

– The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring system stability and accuracy during integration, field trials, and testing phases, under the direction and guidance of the Project Manager. The duties and responsibilities are as follows: –

– The ideal candidate will play a critical role in the development, implementation, and optimization of hardware-based solutions using FPGA and embedded systems for advanced applications. The role requires hands-on expertise in designing and deploying algorithms on FPGA platforms, as well as the ability to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop, integrate, and test systems from conceptual demonstrators to final products. Strong problem-solving skills and proficiency in using simulation tools such as Simulink or MATLAB for model-based designs are essential for the successful execution of tasks.

– Develop, implement, and test algorithms on FPGA and embedded systems to optimize performance for specific applications.

– Collaborate with engineering teams to create solutions from early demonstrators to market-ready products, ensuring alignment with project goals and specifications.

– Perform hardware-level integration, testing, and validation to ensure system functionality and reliability.

– Utilize model-based design tools, particularly Simulink or MATLAB, to streamline system development and create accurate models for deployment.

– Develop and implement testing protocols using LabVIEW for data acquisition and system diagnostics.

– Work with National Instruments (NI) hardware and software tools to ensure accurate measurement, control, and automation of embedded systems.

– Lead the deployment of developed systems, managing hardware and software integration to achieve desired performance in field trials.

– Participate in system-level testing and troubleshooting to resolve issues encountered during implementation or field trials.

– Analyze system performance and ensure compliance with design requirements, safety regulations, and project timelines.

– Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures to ensure personnel and equipment safety during field tests.

– Document design processes, test results, and performance metrics, and provide recommendations for further system improvements or iterations.

– Ph. D / MS (DSP, Embedded Systems. etc)

– Expert in LabVIEW Real‐Time and LabVIEW FPGA

– Hands-on Experience with PXI, PCI, PXIe, PCIe, cRIO, and cDAQ

– Expert in MATLAB Signal Processing Toolbox

– Signal Processing Experience
